State fuel utility GAIL (India) Ltd on Monday stated it has commenced India’s first-of-its-kind undertaking of blending hydrogen into the pure fuel system in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The hydrogen blended pure fuel can be provided to Avantika Fuel Ltd, considered one of GAIL’s three way partnership with HPCL, for retailing of CNG to vehicles and piped pure fuel to households in Indore, the corporate stated in a press release.
‘In keeping with the Nationwide Hydrogen Mission, GAIL has began hydrogen mixing as a pilot undertaking to ascertain the techno-commercial feasibility of mixing hydrogen in Metropolis Fuel Distribution (CGD) community. This undertaking marks the stepping stone of India’s journey in the direction of hydrogen-based and carbon-neutral future,” it stated.
GAIL began injection of gray hydrogen on the metropolis gate station (CGS), Indore.
