Rahul Bajaj, former chairman of the Bajaj Group, died in India’s western Pune metropolis on Saturday. He was 83.

Bajaj had been admitted to the Ruby Corridor Clinic hospital in Pune. He had pneumonia and a coronary heart drawback.

Dr Parvez Grant, chief heart specialist and managing trustee of Ruby Corridor Clinic, mentioned he was admitted to the hospital for the final one month.

“He died as a consequence of age-related and heart- and lung-related illnesses,” Grant added. 

He died round 2.30 pm, the official mentioned. The final rites shall be held on Sunday.

Bajaj is survived by two sons, Rajiv Bajaj and Sanjiv Bajaj; and daughter Sunaina Kejriwal.
