Gonoforum has banned its former president Dr Kamal Hossain from presiding over any assembly of its new council.
Dr Kamal was knowledgeable of the matter via a letter signed by Gonoforum’s President Mustafa Mohsen Montu and Common Secretary Subrata Chowdhury.
It was alleged that Dr Kamal has denounced the brand new council by sending a letter to the Election Fee alleging that he was unaware of the brand new council.
“You could have been holding the workplace of the President of Gonoforum for the final 29 years and have been insisting that you do not need to proceed because the President of the Get together because of your previous age,” it added.
The sixth Nationwide Council was held with the data of then president Dr Kamal Hossain.
Within the council assembly the brand new Central Govt Committee was elected in presence of lots of of councillors and delegates and Dr Kamal was elected as founder president and the chief adviser of the get together, reads the letter.
Nevertheless, sadly Bangladesh Election Fee didn’t settle for the newly-elected committee of Gonoforum as Dr Kamal wrote a letter on 3 February 2022 informing the Election Fee that Gonofoum is just not involved with the stated sixth Nationwide Council, reads the letter.
A writ petition was thus filed after which a rule was issued with Dr Kamal and the Election Fee because the respondent. Following the rule, a council with Dr Kamal because the president would tantamount to gross violation of legislation.
The letter additionally reads, “Sadly upon resignation of Reza Kibria from the submit of Common Secretary of the get together you [Dr Kamal] appointed one Adv AOM Shafiqullah [the presidium member] as performing basic secretary of the get together with none choice of the Central Govt Committee of the get together by grossly violating the provisions of Article 13 of get together structure which offers that in absence of basic secretary one of many joint secretary shall act as performing basic secretary”.
