The Awami League (AL) on Sunday paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the event of historic Mujibnagar Day.
The leaders of the social gathering paid glowing tributes to Bangabandhu by putting wreaths at his portrait in entrance of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi-32 in Dhaka this morning.
At first, senior Awami League leaders paid homage to the portrait of Bangabandhu on behalf of Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Later, Awami League Common Secretary and Street Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader together with senior leaders paid homage to the portrait of the Father of the Nation.
Awami League presidium member Matia Chowdhury, agriculture minister Abdur Razzak, organizing secretary Ahmed Hossain, Mirza Azam, cultural secretary Ashim Kumar Ukil, aid and social welfare secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, central government member Dr Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin Chowdhury, State Minister for Water Sources AKM Enamul Hoque Shameem and different central leaders.
In addition to, varied organs and allied organizations of Awami League together with Juba League, Chhatra League, Awami Swechchhasebak League, Krishak League, Jatiya Sramik League paid homage to the portrait of Bangabandhu on the event of Mujibnagar Day.
